AKA 'Stephen Fu'
Defence/Midfield
Stephen Fu
Stephen Fu, the younger, fitter, but balder of the two Fu brothers has graced the PSFC scene once again with his specialist defensive skills. An IT expert by trade, it's quickly apparent why when you notice that his quick thinking and analysis of the game is second to none.
A highly regarded player within the set-up, he is best remembered by the old timers for his performances against the mighty Berkshire Hornets. In a truly pulsating game, Stephen came on at half-time with the Storm 2-0 down and looking out. Against the odds and against the more fancied side, Stephen battled the Berkshire midfield inch for inch to mark his debut with a telling contribution in this 2-2 draw. A tenacious player, always hungry, no starving to win his one-on-one's, there's an infectious will to win in this lad.
Although having played right and central midfield, it is perhaps central defence where he shines most brightly and has been a great find for PSFC. His speciality is man-for-man marking, up close and in your face. A tough combatant for the ball, he takes no nonsense and to be fair no mercy from strikers and combines all this with a natural will to lead the line. A future captain for PSFC waiting in the wings perhaps??
A hard as nails defender with pace to boot, and can play the ball out with comfort and ease, his combative qualities draws comparison with Sol Campbell. Say no more, say no more.
